30 years ago we set out to develop a comprehensive range of laundry, dishwasher and cleaning products. Our goals were to reduce the excessive use of chemicals and develop products that were world leaders in performance, without negative health effects and with the smallest environmental impact. Our products are foundational. We were the first to market with fully built detergent powder pods. Customers loved the simple single dose concept and embraced the products once they realised the exceptional performance provided. They weren’t even aware of the world changing phenomena that had taken place.
28 years after our first patent was issued the world has been changed forever. Most chemical companies have adopted our technology. We are proud that we have inadvertently stopped millions of tons of unnecessary chemical being discharged into our waterways.
Our trade secret formulas are still world leaders and we are grateful to have had hundreds of thousands of satisfied customers who have seen the benefits of our products.

Scott Base has been New Zealand’s leading Antarctic research centre since the 1950s. One of its key roles is to provide leadership in minimising the environmental impact of human activity on this precious environment.
